So I thought I would be pro-active and blog. Blog without Janae telling me to do so. I thought it was a good idea a few minutes ago, but now I'm starting to doubt that. But I've started so I can't exactly stop right? Right. Just don't expect anything good.
What a weekend! First off, this house has been so quiet! Yes, that's right..while all my roommates were gone I had our apartment converted into a house. They will be so surprised when they see it. So Janae is off in NYC. I'm a little jealous about that...and my jealous multiplied 10fold when I saw the picture of all the purses Nicole posted. I don't even want to talk about how jealous I am. Ali is on some island with Alex (how romantic) and Michelle just barely got back from a trip to Orange County. I had this place to myself. I lived like a freaking King! Walked around the place in my G's. I even left a bowl in the sink for a day. (I'm actually rather appauled that I let myself do that.) 2 nights I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie (I'm such a rebel)..it was the same movie both nights..I think I only made it through the first 15 minutes the first night and the first hour-ish the 2nd night (I only made it that far because it's kinda hard to fall asleep while painting your nails). It was 500 Days of Summer. A story about love, but not a love story. I liked it. I was supposed to return it today and just now remembered that. But I'm already in my PJ's, it's almost 10:30...I think I'll just eat the late fee. I'm lazy like that.
So I suppose you are all dying to know what I did with my weekend. The previous paragraph makes me sound lazy and that I sat around all day...when in fact the only time I lounged about was from about 10pm until 9am Thursday night and Saturday night. (and a little bit today) I've been at the Bakery cleaning and painting every spare second. It's been pretty intense and I am absolutely exhausted. Which is why I am going to be right after I'm finished typing this.
Kortney, the parade was awesome. Not creepy one bit. I didn't even get the willies. Not even once! I love 200 East. It's the best street ever. There were just loads and loads of people there. We got a spot in front of the library. I have to say I was pretty proud of the good spot we got. It was a rocking good time. I think I got about 3 hours of sleep that night. People are nuts. They never sleep. I'm pretty sure we had people walking past us all night long. We're talking 8pm-8am. I was awoken in the morning by the marathon runners. Such a nice way to start the day. If you can't exercise why not watch someone else do it. The actual parade was great. The Arrow 103.5 booth was across from us so we had good music and the event coordinator for them (Brady) was beautiful. There was also a hot cop in our vicinity. Neither of which were wearing a ring :) Of course I didn't talk to them...just looked. Lovely! Elder Uchtdorf was in the parade. It's always my favorite part to see the member of the first presidency that close. After the parade we went to a family bbq and then headed back to the Bakery.
I went to church late. 30 minutes late actually. I slept in..on accident. I think my body just shut down. It didn't get much sleep this weekend. Don't be ticked Janae..I'm halfway to less active. Thanks for being a good influence.
I went to dessert social tonight with Emily. (remember how forgiving she is. she is so nice to me). It was awkward..just as awkward as I expected. Oh did I mention I watched the rest of that movie finally today. And I'm spent. I'm hitting the sack foos!
Sounds like you had a great weekend, not to mention the best part of seeing your bestest in live person. Remember how cool the bakery is looking? I wish I were there for the grand opening, maybe i will blog sometime soon.....hmmmm missing you already
